A brush fire, which included downed power lines, occurred earlier this afternoon in the Encino area. Per LAFD, forward progress on the Encino fire has been halted and cleanup is underway. Evacuation warning will remain in place until further notice.

LAFD has issued an *evacuation warning* around Encino. If you are in an evacuation warning zone, you should have received an LAFD alert. City departments are on high alert and repair crews are responding to downed power lines, fire mop-up, and power outages.
FIRE RESPONSE
The evacuation warning for people located near the Encino Reservoir has been lifted as of 3:55pm today. Per LAFD, mop-up operations are currently underway with a number of personnel on site, and LAFD will continue to patrol the site over the next week.
POWER OUTAGES
LADWP is reporting power outages in approximately 950 households across parts of Encino, Tarzana, and Reseda, which can be monitored live with real-time restoration updates by visiting ladwp.com/outages/power-outage-map or clicking the button below.

If you have lost power:
- Report outages online at ladwp.com/outages or by calling 1-800-DIAL-DWP (1-800-342-5397).
- Switch off all lights, except for one, so you will know when your power has been restored.
- Keep your refrigerator closed to keep food cold.
- Check on vulnerable friends and neighbors to make sure they are safe.
- Find out how to stay safe from the heat by accessing local cooling centers.
LADWP also reminds customers to use caution around any downed or dangling wires or poles. If you see a downed wire, always assume it is LIVE. Never touch ANY wire that is down or dangling and immediately dial 9-1-1.
