Dear Friends,

As we end what has been a difficult week, we want to let you know that our office is here to support you. Many of you have reached out to voice safety concerns during this troubling time, and our office is actively working to ensure the safety and well-being of our communities.

Councilmember Raman and the CD4 team are in ongoing contact with LAPD, our faith-based leaders, and educational institutions to uplift concerns and facilitate the safety of our community. LAPD is coordinating with other law enforcement agencies in the region, and has directed all available resources to increase patrols and visibility around houses of worship and other sensitive-use locations such as schools and cultural centers. At this time, we have not been informed of any specific threats.

If you are experiencing or witnessing an emergency, call 911 immediately. For non-emergencies, call 1-877-275-5273. You can also visit the LA Civil Rights Resource page for guidance on options available for reporting hate incidents and accessing supportive resources.

As always, please contact our office at contactcd4@lacity.org with any concerns. Our hearts are with every family experiencing pain and grief during this difficult time.

Warmly,

The Office of Council District 4
