Studio City & Cahuenga Pass
About Studio City & Cahuenga Pass
Located in the southeast San Fernando Valley, Studio City's name is derived from the studio lot established in the area by film producer Mack Sennett in 1927, now known as Radford Studio Center. From its iconic stretch on Ventura Boulevard full of restaurants and retail to the respite of the walk along LA River Greenway.
Immediately to its east is the Cahuenga Pass. A name derived from a Tongva village named Kawé’nga, the Cahuenga Pass connects the eastern end of the Santa Monica Mountains to the Hollywood Hills. Along a portion of the pass is Cahuenga Boulevard, one of the principle routes from Universal Studios to downtown, and home to a variety of longtime retail, dining, and shopping establishments.
