PLEASE NOTE! There will be no fireworks shows on or around Griffith Observatory for the Fourth of July. Fireworks are both illegal in the City of Los Angeles and pose a threat to our wildlife and parks. Here’s a roundup of fireworks shows where you can have a safer, more accessible experience.

HOLLYWOOD HILLS TRAFFIC & SAFETY DEPLOYMENT
Our office, in partnership with our City departments, has coordinated increased deployment for improved traffic and parking management throughout the Hollywood Hills and Beachwood Canyon. This measure aims to ensure smooth traffic flow and enhance safety for everyone during this busy holiday period.

* Please note that real time changes may occur due to staffing or demand at different locations throughout the area. Our office will be monitoring issues through the weekend.

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT
Signage
At the request of LAPD Hollywood Division, LADOT will be placing “No Stopping Anytime” signage on both sides of Mulholland from Multiview to Wrightwood. Effective July 4th only.
Barriers
StreetsLA will be placing CD4 A-frame barriers to the immediate east and west of the Daniel Overlook to limit access to popular streetside vantage points. Effective July 4th only.
Changeable Message Signs (CMS)
CMS will be placed at Cahuenga / Mulholland and Laurel Canyon / Mulholland to alert the public to park closures, parking restrictions, and increased enforcement.
REPORT ILLEGAL FIREWORKS
ALL fireworks in the City of Los Angeles are illegal! There are several safe and secure methods for reporting fireworks:
- Use the MyLA311 smartphone app. It’s free and available here: lacity.org/MyLA311
- The LAPD has an online fireworks form that you may fill out:

- IMPORTANT: Do not dial 9-1-1 unless you see someone being injured or at risk of immediate injury, or a fire or other emergency.
